Let’s get one thing straight: AI is fast. It’s helpful. It’s inspiring. But it’s not a designer. Yes — in just a few seconds, AI can generate a room in any style. It’s an incredible tool. I use it often — especially in the early creative process. It helps me explore ideas, test different aesthetics, and show clients inspirational renders before we even touch a space. But what AI does is not design. It’s inspiration, not execution.

What AI Can’t Do

Here’s what AI can’t do:

• It can’t take real measurements.

• It doesn’t understand proportions, flow, or scale.

• It doesn’t know what *you* need — your routines, habits, or what brings you joy.

• It can’t tailor a space to your life.

• It doesn’t see the story behind your objects or the emotion of a space.

• It doesn’t problem-solve when your window’s off-centre or your budget is tight.

How I Use AI to Enhance My Work

As a small entrepreneur, I love finding tools that support my creativity and make my business more efficient. That’s exactly what AI does. It helps me:
